On Saturday night, the Warriors fell to George Mason 4-3 at Revolution Ice Centre. Leading the charge for the Warriors was Steve Giordano who had two goals in the game. In the first period, Steve Giordano got his first goal of the game on a pass from Andrew Nowicki. George Mason would remain scoreless for the rest of the period and the Warriors led 1-0 after one. George Mason would come out strong in the first period with a goal from Dylan Talbot nearly five minutes into the second. Steve Giordano would then have his second goal of the night to bring the Warriors back into the game. With a minute left in the period, George mason would tie the game thanks to a goal by Brian Bock.The game was tied 2-2 at the end of the second. In the third period, George Mason would come out with two quick goals by Dylan Talbot and Brian Bock to give them a 4-2 lead. The Warriors would score thirty seconds after George Mason’s last goal on a shot from Tim Brown to bring ESU back within one. The Warriors, however, would not be able to find the equalizer and ended up losing the game after a hard fought battle 4-3. The Warrior’s next game will be Saturday night against West Chester at Ice Line. This will be the Warriors first conference and division match up of the 2011-2012 season.
