ESU II Stuns New Paltz on the RoadPublished on: October 3, 2011
ESU II improved to 2-0 Saturday night after a road win against SUNY New Paltz at the Mid Hudson Civic Arena in Poughkeepsie, New York. The Warriors put up a total of six goals on the Hawks and ended up coming out with the victory on the road. Leading the charge for the Warriors was Ed Nufrio who had two goals throughout the game. In the first period, the scoring was started for the Warriors thanks to a goal on a tip in from Ricky Szygiel on a shot from James Terrill. Zach Walls would later score his first goal of the year on a breakaway to bring the game to 2-0 at the end of the first period. To start off the scoring in the second period, New Paltz would score its first and last goal of the game to bring the game to a 2-1 Warriors lead. Ed Nufrio would later have two goals to put the warriors on top 4-1 at the end of the second period. The third period would have two goals scored total, both coming from the Warriors. The first goal in the third was scored by Tom Fallon on passes from Jim Terrill and Mike Loggia. Adam Paradise-Asher would later score to top off and complete the win for ESU II by a score of 6-1. ESU II’s next game will take place on October 15th at home against Shippensburg Univeristy at 12:30 PM.
