ESU II Falls Short to Lehigh

On Saturday afternoon, ESU II lost a hard fought battle and there second match up against Lehigh at Revolution Ice Center. Leading the way for the Warriors was Austin Wey and Tom Fallon with a goal and an assist each.

In the first period, Lehigh had two goals which were the only goals scored in the period. The goals were scored by Kenny Turnbull and Joe Fierro.

Lehigh would then start off the scoring in the second with a goal two minutes into the period. Six minutes later, Mike Loggia would find a rebound in front of the net and put it home for his first goal of the season. Lehigh would answer back two minutes later with another goal from Joe Fierro. The Warriors would score there second goal of the game on a shot from Tom Fallon from just below the blue line. Lehigh would answer back with another goal to bring the game to 5-2.

The Warriors would start out the third period with a goal to bring the game to 5-3. Lehigh, however, did not let up and scored one minute later. On the power play with ten minutes left in the game, Austin Wey would score on one timer on a pass from RJ Zeleny.After Wey’s goal, the Warriors had some great chances to score but were unable to find the back of the net. Lehigh would win on a final score of 6-4.

ESU II will take on Stephen’s Institute of Technology on Saturday night at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey for there next game of the season. The puck drop is set for 8:00 PM.
